| Abstrakt: | The main objective of the study is investigation of mechanical and termomechanical properties of polyethylene. These properties were examined in dependence on the dosage of the ionizing beta radiation. Non-irradiated samples and those irradiated by dosage 15, 30, 45, 66, 99, 132 and 198 kGy were compared. Radiation cross-linking of polyolefin?s results in increased mechanical strength, heat resistance, and breakdown voltage, and improved insulation properties, particularly at high temperatures. | ||||||||||
