Knowledge Management in Military Organizations

Abstract

Before implementing Knowledge Management (KM) into organizations it is necessary to understand its content, objectives, possibilities, tools, procedures and risks. Therefore the KM has become an object of research; it is expressed in taxonomies and ontology. The authors of the article are members of a research team of the ?ACR NEC Knowledge Management System? - (MENTAL) project. The results achieved are described, the functions of the system and their support by the use of technology are specified, and the process of ontology creation is stated.
